The vendor required to provide legal plan assets investments and securities services on an as-needed basis.
- Requirement
• Provide advice and counsel to authority staff and investment committees regarding investment matters, including investment transactions and contracts, private market funds, asset management agreements, custodial and service provider agreements.
• Provide advice and counsel to authority staff and investment committees when questions arise regarding securities that may be held by boards of trustees or when the boards may be considering the acquisition of securities that require contractual agreement, legal reviews, or analysis of litigation risk.
• Negotiate and draft investment contracts, including contracts for alternative investments (e.g., private equity, real estate, and other alternative investment vehicles); manage closing documentation.
• Provide training and education upon request for authority staff and boards on securities litigation, investment issues and related matters.
• Assist in the communication of concerns involving pension fund issues to trustees, staff, consultants, advisors and other parties, including testifying before or responding to elected or appointed officials in the legislative and executive branches of state government as requested.
• Attend board and committee meetings as requested.
