The Vendor is required to provide free civil legal services to low-income persons within county in alignment with the county’s commitment to ensuring meaningful access to the civil legal system.
- Must provide services that address legal matters in substantive areas, which include but are not limited to:
• Housing
• Consumer Issues
• Family Law
• Employment
• Government Benefits/Health
• Protective Services
• Elderly Concerns
• Education
• Disability Issues
• Water and Land Use
• Immigration and Migrant Workers
• Native American Matters
• Civil Rights
• Veterans Matters
- Allowable legal services delivery methods will be determined at the time of the award.
- Services may include, but are not limited to:
• Legal advice
• Briefing services (e.g., letter to the opposing party for a client)
• Extended legal representation and litigation
• Negotiation and alternative dispute resolution
• Systemic advocacy
• Provision of legal information
• Outreach and community legal education
• Assistance to self-represented litigants
• Group representation
• Pro bono assistance
• Community economic Development, to include land and water issues.
