Legal Document Messenger Services

The vendor required to provide legal document attorney messenger services, document preparation and court filing services, including e-filing and fax, service of process, service of subpoenas duces tecum, lawsuits and eviction documents, service of deposition subpoenas for production of records, including photocopying of such records, to department.
- Messenger services
•    Messenger services include, but are not limited to, a request to copy a case file from the clerk’s office; a request to deliver documents; provide courtesy copies to courts and counsel; obtain signatures; file documents, either in person, e-file, or fax; conform and return fully executed copies of documents; research court documents and agency records; drop, serve and complete any required declarations of service, deliver documents to other state agencies; and perform related tasks.
- Subpoena services
•    Subpoena services may include, but are not limited to, completion of subpoena preparation, subpoena service, stakeout service, and declaration of service.
•    All paperwork for declaration subpoena (record), preparation and production of requested records, and all paperwork for civil subpoena (person) for appearance at court; and prepare declaration of service and provide copies to the legal division.
- Work to be performed
•    Lodge and file documents with the courts 
•    Provide courtesy copies to the courts and counsel 
•    Obtain signatures on documents 
•    File (via person, e-filing, or fax), conform, and return fully executed copies of documents 
•    Research court documents and agency records 6) drop, serve, and complete any required declaration of service 
•    Deliver advance fees.
