The Vendor is required to provide software as a service (SaaS) of an interactive transit security and facilities services notification mobile application (app) customized with district branding that is interactive and downloadable free of charge for both the public and an unlimited number of district administrative users.

- Application requirements
1. Mobile application and administrative website and system console functionality
• Must deliver and host the app via a turn-key proven platform of redundant, secure servers and services for a period of five (5) years with district options to renew for up to three additional one-year periods.
• Provide a system console or access to a secure website to district that will be used by district staff to receive system messages, alerts, photos, videos, audio recordings, emails, geospatial information, location references, and be capable of performing mass “push” notification functions via email and SMS.
• Must identify any file size or number limits that will apply for photos, videos and audio recordings.
2. Integration capability
• API access: contractor must provide a comprehensive, secure, and well-documented application programming interface (API) accessible to district that enables district to integrate the app’s core functionalities into its existing mobile application, such as district transit connect application.
• Deep linking support: district would prefer that the system support deep linking to launch specific screens or functions within the existing district transit connect application directly to send or receive alerts.
• Modular architecture: the system must be modular to allow selective integration of features (e.g., alert notifications, reporting, and emergency contact) into district app ecosystem.
• Developer support: contractor must provide technical documentation and support to assist district development team during the integration process.
- Development, implementation and testing
• Must complete all development, implementation and testing of the application as set out in district -approved plans (as submitted with the proposal or negotiated by the parties) to provide a fully-functional application meeting all contract requirements.
• Must perform a complete end-to-end test in QA and production environment.
- Migration of existing incident data
• Must migrate one year of existing incident reports without attached media (approximately 6,000 incidents) from district existing alert district application to the new database.
• The existing data is exportable using csv and excel.
• The incident reports from contractor’s system must be similarly exportable in a csv and excel format at the expiration or termination of this contract.
- Operating system compatibility
• The app must be operational and downloadable through both apple iOS and google play.
• Contractor is solely responsible for compliance with all requirements necessary to maintain the availability of the application through both apple iOS and google play.
