Consulting Services

The vendor is required to provide that consulting services - clinical faculty compensation plan.
- The provision of quality education and development of academic, research, patient care, and community service programs to meet the health care needs of west state, which in total is comprised of 108 counties and represents 50% of state land mass and 11% of its total population.
- The intent is to develop and implement a clinical faculty compensation plan that creates consistent and fiscally sustainable processes for awarding clinical faculty compensation increases and bonus compensation that are aligned with clinical faculty clinical, administrative, research and teaching (Cart) efforts.
- Assessment:
• Establish clinical compensation program governance and management.
• Align on guiding principles for a new compensation plan.
• Review current compensation and processes against clinical faculty cart efforts.
- Compensation plan design
• Develop a fiscally sustainable compensation plan that aligns clinical faculty compensation to carts.
• Utilize both cart efforts and individual clinical faculty financial performance in the development of new compensation plan options.
• Articulate pros/cons and aggregate financial impacts of comp plan redesign options.
• Select new compensation plan to move forward
- Financial modeling:
• At the dean, chair and individual levels, model the changes to compensation under the new plan.
• Review financial modeling and adjust plan as needed to achieve targeted outcomes.
• Compare new model versus current compensation and processes at the individual, department, campus, and SOM levels
- Change management and socialization
• Development of FAQs, presentation and socialization with leadership and faculty.
• Assistance in development of participant charters for faculty.
