The vendor is required to provide s from qualified vendors to provide Splunk professional services for the secure support team (county).
- Ensure continuous and effective use of the Splunk cloud environment for performance analytics.
- Facilitate data readiness and integrity through efficient management of Splunk resources, including accounts, apps, add-ons, and indexes.
- Provide expert solutions and guidance on creating, maintaining, and optimizing Splunk knowledge objects (e.g., alerts, saved searches, reports, dashboards).
- Support the county with Splunk configuration, maintenance, documentation, and knowledge transfer to enhance operational efficiency and long-term sustainability.
- Advisory and consulting services
• Assess the county’s current Splunk accounts, including authentication protocols and account access control.
• Advise on Splunk best practices for performance analytics and security monitoring. install, configure, and update Splunk apps and add-ons as required for project needs.
• Assist in the strategic planning and optimization of Splunk data models, searches and reporting.
• Create and manage indexes to prepare data for ingestion, ensuring secure and efficient data handling within Splunk.
- Knowledge objects development & optimization
• Provide expertise in creating, maintaining, and refining Splunk knowledge objects:
1. Dashboards
2. Reports
3. Alerts
4. Saved searches.
• Optimize queries and searches for efficiency and performance.
• Collaborate with county to address specific data analysis needs and provide technical solutions to enhance performance and usability. - Training and knowledge transfer
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to train county personnel on Splunk best practices.
• Provide documentation on recommended configurations and optimization strategies.
- Data readiness and integration
• Support data ingestion strategies and indexing improvements.
• Assist in configuring Splunk apps and add-ons to enhance analytics capabilities.
• Maintain the secure performance dashboard to ensure data accuracy, visualization efficiency and overall reliability.
- Time tracking and reporting
• Track service hours on a weekly basis, ensuring compliance with the maximum billable hours.
• Provide weekly updates to the county project manager, outlining progress, challenges, and any necessary adjustments.
