The vendor is required to provide independent investigation services for complaints related to breaches of the municipal code of conduct by elected officials.
- The appointed investigator will be responsible for:
• Receiving and assessing complaints related to the municipal code of conduct.
• Determining the merit of complaints and deciding on further action.
• Conducting thorough investigations adhering to principles of natural justice and procedural fairness.
• Preparing comprehensive reports with findings and recommendations for council consideration.
• Maintaining confidentiality throughout the investigation process.
• Providing expert advice on matters related to the code of conduct as required.
