The vendor is required to provide workforce development marketplace user experience (UX) and design services that support the development of a visually compelling, functionally accessible, and user-friendly storefront that reflects best-in-class ecommerce and educational marketplace experiences.
1. Discovery phase
• Conduct comparative UX/UI benchmarking of institutions offering noncredit workforce programs and leading non-education marketplaces with best-in-class ecommerce experiences.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops and interviews.
• Conduct business requirements gathering to document functionality, user needs, and technical constraints.
• Analyze and summarize stakeholder input into a summary report.
• Develop and validate up to five (5) user personas representing target audiences.
2. UX/UI design and wireframes
• Create low-fidelity UX wireframes for up to all unique page templates and experiences for both desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
• Deliver annotated high-fidelity wireframes for desktop and mobile layouts, including functional notes and responsive behaviors.
• Produce full-color mockups and establish a new, forward-looking visual design system to guide the visual implementation of the digital storefront.
• Provide high-fidelity UX/UI templates for customizable marketing landing pages that reflect a fresh and modern design tailored to the digital storefront.
• Design and document a reusable component library for adobe experience manager (AEM), based on UX/UI patterns developed for the storefront, with flexibility for cross-site use.
• Develop a clickable interactive prototype simulating key user flows for internal testing and validation prior to development.
• Conduct usability testing on the interactive prototype of the designs and templates, with a focus on mobile-first design, to closely simulate the website experience.
• Incorporate structured learner-facing user feedback from current and prospective learners interested in noncredit offerings through one or more of the following: focus groups, surveys, or moderated testing sessions.
• Consider incentivized participation to ensure meaningful representation.
• The clickable prototype to validate user flow, clarity, and alignment with learner expectations.
