The Vendor is required to provide on-call ADA consulting services to the City.
- Consultant will assist with ensuring compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), particularly in the public right-of way (ROW) and for municipal infrastructure projects.
- The City is actively implementing projects to improve walkability and accessibility, including curb ramp replacements, traffic calming measures, and pedestrian enhancements.
- ADA consultant to:
• Review construction plans for ADA compliance, with particular attention to 2010, act standards
• Provide advice and clarification on federal/state accessibility requirements
• Conduct occasional on-site reviews of projects
• Coordinate with Public Works and Engineering staff
• Update the City’s Transition Plan and work with GIS
• Perform inspections as needed
• Assist the City in responding to ADA-related complaints or grievances, including documentation or site evaluations if needed.
• Review City standards, details, or ADA-related policies and make recommendations
