The Vendor is required to provide public safety two-way radio, data, and paging systems.
- Assess current capabilities and infrastructure, identify needs and deficiencies, and provide strategic recommendations for modernizing the system to enhance service delivery, interoperability, and cost efficiency.
- The consultant's recommendations must consider the current and future needs of all users on the system and account for the complexity of multi-jurisdictional coordination and interoperable communications.
- This includes County departments and agencies, municipal governments, utilities, and public safety entities such as Fire, EMS, Emergency Management, and Law Enforcement.
- Needs Assessment and Recommendations
• Conduct a comprehensive needs assessment of the current public safety communications system, including coverage, capacity, functionality, redundancy, and interoperability with approximately 20,000 resident and mutual aid users.
• Evaluate current infrastructure, hardware, software, and support systems.
• Assess the use and costs associated with alphanumeric pagers and identify alternate solutions.
• Engage stakeholder agencies (Fire, EMS, Emergency Management, Law Enforcement, municipal partners, utilities, etc.) to gather operational feedback and understand current and future requirements.
• Provide a gap analysis and recommendations for system enhancements, platform migrations, or upgrades.
• Evaluate modern alerting and paging technologies, dispatch integration, and options for reducing long-term operational costs.
• Develop and deliver a report detailing findings, analysis, and strategic recommendations.
