The vendor is required to provide leave administrator consultant services for county employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and county regulations, and to support the county's operational needs effectively and efficiently.
- Duties and responsibilities:
1. Leave program administration:
• Serve as the primary administrator for all employee leave programs, including PLO, FMLA, OFLA, and other statutory leaves.
• Manage all aspects of leave, from initial intake and assessment of eligibility, through approval, documentation, and closing of cases.
• Work closely with county payroll to ensure accurate leave processing and compensation.
2. Case management:
• Conduct comprehensive case management for leave applications and ongoing leave cases.
• Handle escalations by coordinating with county administration and legal teams when necessary.
3. Compliance and regulatory management:
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws including PLO, FMLA, OFLA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, and other applicable regulations.
• Monitor changes in legislation at federal, state, and local levels, assess their implications on leave administration, and implement appropriate changes in protocols and practices as required.
4. Liaison role:
• Act as a liaison with internal stakeholders, providing information and clarification of leave policies and processes.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders, including insurance companies and regulatory agencies, as needed.
