The vendor is required to provide budget planning and citizen satisfaction research to inform annual budget planning and satisfaction with items such as city services, quality of life and communications.
- Responsibilities of this project including, but not limited to:
• Review past research methods and surveys and provide feedback on areas of improvement.
• Refine, develop, and finalize the research approach, design, and instrument(s).
• Make recommendations on how to best engage residents (variety of demographics).
• Test and refine research instrument(s).
• Conduct the statistically valid general population research annually (data collection between March 1-31).
• Analyze the findings and identify trends using past survey comparisons.
• Identify actionable insights from the data.
• Develop a final report that adheres to the city’s brand guidelines
• Information reporting and presentation:
o Preliminary findings to be provided within two weeks of the close of data collection.
o A full report is due by the first week of May and a presentation of the statistically valid report is to be made to council in late May or early June.
o The full report will also include a summary of statistics for how many people started the survey but did not complete the surveys, how the data was submitted (i.e., survey tool used), and recommendations for improved participation in future years.
