The Vendor is required to provide design and permitting for improvement to park.
- Develop plans to reinforce and repair the riverbank where trees have been lost to erosion and protection of threatened mature trees that currently stabilize the riverbank.
- Develop plans to repair and widen the riverwalk to current multi-modal use standards, raise a section of riverwalk to increase its use and reduce maintenance costs, relocate trailside amenities such a benches and trash receptacles to areas less impact by flooding, and for the repair/replacement of underground lighting circuits impacted by decades of flood inundation.
- Plan for aesthetic improvements to a vehicular bridge over the River used by walkers, cyclists, and emergency vehicles.
- The design and permitting phase including, but not limited to:
• Site surveys and studies to develop an existing conditions plan
• Concept plan options
• Two community & stakeholder sessions: consultant will share concept plan options at the first community meeting. The second meeting will be utilized to seek public input on the 30% design drawings.
• Board study
• Archeological study
• 30% design drawings
• 60% design drawings
• Initial construction cost estimate
• Permit development, submission, and approvals
• Final construction cost estimate.
