The Vendor is required to provide for survey and consulting services.
- Throughout the navigation season, compiling and reviewing information to ensure correctness of data for identification and appropriate handling, maintenance and storage instructions;
- In advance of loading, making appropriate recommendations to the agency concerning space limitations for cargo and improvement of shipping process, potential marketing, customer services and operational problems;
- Audit dock receipts to identify errors and note any obvious omissions on the ships manifest;
- Contacting customers to advise on the timing and/or scheduling of cargo deliveries and stowage and space requirement problems for a particular sailing, and to solicit cooperation in expediting the delivery of cargoes and in resolving associated problems;
- Contacting customers to identify, discuss and review the particulars of damaged cargo and to provide information on the procedures for the reporting, handling and settlement of loss/damage claims;
- Dealing directly with customers, marshalling agents and transport companies to redirect and follow up shipments refused by the marine carrier;
- Provide periodic reports in Microsoft Excel spreadsheet using functions like VLOOKUP, filter, Sort, cell formatting etc.
