The vendor is required to provide a strategic marketing study that assesses city assets to identify corporate sponsorship opportunities, new business categories.
- This analysis should include an assessment of the city brand to determine its value to potential sponsors, its strengths from a marketing perspective, and recommendations for growth.
- Strategic Plan Implementation
- The selected consultant, in working with the chief operating officer and director of parks and recreation, will implement the strategic plan and serve as the city’s broker in acquiring sponsorships, naming rights, official designations, or other revenue enhancement opportunities identified in the strategic plan.
- Tasks may include visiting city facilities, conducting phone surveys, reviewing existing contracts, policies and laws, interviewing city staff and elected officials, conducting primary research and data collection, and assessing comparable and neighboring cities and municipalities.
- On-site interviews of city department directors, commissioners, city council members, and other staff to understand the existing marketing and sponsorship activity level, as necessary
- Careful consideration and review of the city’s physical, social and intellectual property assets, including vending and concessionaire site venues and contracts, special events, public communication sites, and similar assets.
