The vendor is required to provide while mobility digital information service hub (DISHS) is growing, evolving and localized concepts in cities all over the world, they are generally envisioned as designated locations usually within pedestrian dense areas or neighborhoods that cohesively bring together the universe of available mobility options and other relevant digital information which could include:
• Available mobility options - can include (but not limited to) real-time transit arrival/service information, carshare stations, rideshare, micro mobility options (scooters, e-bikes, etc.), designated docked or dock-less micro mobility parking, electric vehicle charging, and even potential integration with TNC platforms (i.e., Lyft, uber, ford mobility, etc.).
• Other digital information – can include (but not limited to) access to digital wayfinding elements, city services public service announcements, emergency communications, supported by insights driven advertising.
• providing a self-sustaining program model that will design, install, maintain, repair and replace structures, devices and other elements with no direct cost or capital infusions from the city.
• Revenue shared with department through advertising, broadband, WIFI, or other opportunities that support and align with department mission.
• Provide convenient and accessible mobility options along with real-time travel information that improves and promotes public navigation and make it easier to travel throughout city using alternative transportation modes.
• Provide actionable and insights driven data collection that will enable the city to continually improve the program or mobility options for users over time.
• Help eliminate digital deserts and close the digital divide by providing free USB ports for free charging of mobile devices and a wi-fi network that can bring mobile communications infrastructure directly to underserved communities.
• Bring city services closer to residents and the broader community by providing access to government and social services websites to include but not limited to:
o 911 / 311 access
o Access to social services hotlines
o Video-relay service for deaf and hard of hearing community.
