The vendor is required to provide communications project manager services for create, edit, and publish high-quality culturally appropriate, compelling, informative, and engaging content for various platforms including but not limited to news stations, websites, blog, podcasts, social media channels, email, mass notification, and other marketing materials.
- Essential duties and responsibilities
• Estimating resource and time requirements for project tasks.
• Developing and maintaining project schedules and timelines.
• Managing project budget and expenses.
• Identifying and managing project risks.
• Leading and motivating project team members.
• Monitoring project progress and performance.
• Communicating with stakeholders and reporting on project status.
• Ensuring project delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints.
• Keep department files and vendor lists up to date.
• Develop and maintain a filing system for archive projects.
• Develop culturally responsive strategies for building and maintaining programs and activities that will have a positive impact on local tribal and non-tribal communities.
• Must be available to perform duties outside of the regular 8-5 office hours.
• Must be punctual and professional when reporting for duty as scheduled by your supervisor.
• Must be up to date with all social media networks.
• Coordinate with the grants department for outreach programs.
• Occasional budgetary tasks, such as data entry, purchase orders, and print requisitions.
• Must attend training as recommended by the communications coordinator and editor.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Knowledge of communications best practices including writing, editing, communications planning and implementation, goal and KPI setting, and reporting.
• Ability to motivate internal and external partners within surrounding regions related to project efforts to provide support and collaborate on coordinated plans, including but not limited to the collaborative efforts of the communications, cultural, natural resources, and legal departments, with the advisement of the tribal managers office and tribal council.
• Ability to form relationships and influence decision-making, to work with diverse groups who have divergent ideas, and help them identify and take action toward a common goal.
• Ability to facilitate large groups, draft meeting agendas, and develop concise and accurate meeting summaries.
• Coordination skills to keep multiple levels of planning and logistics on schedule.
• Must demonstrate proficiency in computer skills in various software programs including but not limited to desktop publishing, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, and photo and video editing software.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills as demonstrated in the seven grandfather teachings
• Must have exceptional detail and follow-up skills.
• Ability to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action.
• Must have advanced computer skills.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
