The vendor is required to provide digital marketing campaign and a thoughtfully designed outdoor wayfinding signage system, we aim to:
• Celebrate local identity by showcasing businesses, landmarks, and cultural assets
• Guide residents and visitors with clear, attractive signage that improves walkability and navigation
• Support economic development by driving foot traffic to small businesses and community spaces
• Foster civic pride through storytelling, design, and digital outreach that reflects college park’s unique character
- Project components
1. Outdoor wayfinding signage system
• Site assessment: conduct a walk-through of the depot and surrounding areas to identify key navigation points for pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles.
• Design development:
o Create signage that reflects the depot’s historic character and aligns with college park’s branding.
o Include directional signs, entry markers, informational kiosks, and QR code integration for mobile navigation.
o Ensure ADA compliance, high visibility, and weather-resistant materials.
• Fabrication and installation:
o Produce signage using durable materials suitable for outdoor use.
o Install signage at approved locations with minimal disruption to public access.
2. Digital marketing campaign
• Strategy and planning:
o Develop a campaign to promote the train depot as a cultural and transportation hub.
o Target local residents, tourists, and regional transit users.
• Content creation:
o Design branded digital assets including social media graphics, short promotional videos, and interactive maps.
o Integrate QR codes on signage linking to depot info, events, and transit schedules.
• Distribution and promotion:
o Launch across city of digital platforms, including website, social media, and email newsletters.
o Coordinate with local tourism boards and businesses for cross-promotion.
3. Community engagement
• Host one public input session to gather feedback on signage design and placement.
• Include community highlights in digital content to foster local pride and participation.
