The vendor is required to provide outreach and program support improvement services to continuously improve the quality of services provided to department and its beneficiaries by identifying potential areas for quality improvement (QI), researching, and designing QI projects, providing academic detailing of QI projects, and managing the programs and services.
- Medicaid quality surveys
• The contractor shall develop, conduct, report on, and analyze healthcare-related consumer assessment of healthcare providers and systems (CAHPS) surveys, as directed by department.
• Surveys according to industry standards and any applicable state and federal laws.
• Analyze survey data and provide reports in a format approved by department for centers submission and public publication.
• The data analysis reports must contain data visualization components that track performance year over year.
- Medicaid advisory committee and beneficiary advisory council
• Provide administrative support for the quarterly mac and bac meetings including but not limited to scheduling and securing meeting location; preparing and sending meeting invitations, agenda, Presentations, etc.; providing lunch; setup and cleanup; and any follow-up.
- Patient centered medical home (PCMH) program
• Effectively manage the patient-centered medical homes (PCMH) primary care quality incentive program in compliance with the state Medicaid provider manual for patient-centered medical home (PCMH), available on the department website, to ensure that the quality of primary care provided to Medicaid beneficiaries is improved and that the practice support payments and incentives for quality care adhere to the program requirements.
- Non-emergency transportation (net) broker management
• Safe, appropriate, and reliable transportation
• Adherence to program requirements
• Efficient reservations and trip assignments
• Quality assurance
• Administrative oversight and reporting
- Medicaid provider relations and education
• Produce a detailed Medicaid provider relations and education management plan that addresses communication, requirements and guidelines, and department priorities and concerns.
• The Medicaid provider relations and education management plan shall address the approach to planning and providing education for all Medicaid providers.
• Effectively develop and maintain initial and ongoing training for Medicaid enrolled providers.
