The Vendor is required to provide advertising for the exclusive right to sell advertising on bus shelters.
- In addition to providing advertisement services, vendors provide minimum once-weekly maintenance and inspection services for bus shelters.
- Objectives
• Generate advertising revenue from bus shelters
• Maintain all bus shelters to agency established standards
• Provide timely and thorough revenue and maintenance reporting
• Support agency and agency-partner marketing advertising
• Ensure compliance with environmental and stormwater regulations
- Provide all personnel, equipment, software tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform advertising sales, advertising installation and removal, shelter inspections, shelter maintenance and repairs, shelter relocation, and stormwater compliance.
- The annual report shall contain, at minimum, a detailed breakdown of that year’s advertising sales, gross and net revenue including uncollectable revenues, revenue payments to agency, calculations of agency percentage of net advertising revenue, and calculation of any additional revenue amounts owed to agency, and make a payment to agency for the difference
- Maintain bus stop area, defined as 15-foot area from the bus shelter, including: the bus shelter, bench, shelter pad, trash receptacles, bus stop sign, the sidewalk passenger pad adjacent to the bus shelter, and any other agency -installed amenities meeting agency condition standard.
- Maintain bus shelters with routine inspection calls at each shelter site a minimum of once per week meeting agency condition standard. Up to 15% of shelters may be designated as high frequency shelters which will have a minimum 2-times weekly inspections occurring on nonconsecutive days
- Cleanliness
• No accumulated dirt, grime, or stains on visible shelter surfaces (glass, metal, seating, shelter structure, trash receptacles, map cases).
• No cobwebs or insect nests present
• No overflowing trash or litter within the shelter or adjacent pad
- Graffiti/Vandalism
• All graffiti abated
• All stickers, tape, flyers, or foreign postings removed from shelter surfaces
• Map and advertising panels free of damage, cracks, or unauthorized postings
• Surfaces and Fixtures
• Glass/plexiglass panels are clean, transparent (not fogged or smudged), and free from breakage
• Metal, painted, or plastic surfaces free from rust, corrosion, or peeling paint
• Seating, trash receptacles, and appurtenant furniture are intact and usable
- Lighting/Electrical (if applicable)
• Solar panels are free of obstructions and debris
• Lighting is repaired and functional (if notified by agency that a lighting is clearly non-functional because it is visibly broken, disconnected, or otherwise discovered).
- Surrounding Area
• Passenger pad, sidewalk, and 15-foot area around shelter are free of debris and hazards
• No weeds or vegetation obstructing access to the shelter or sign pole
- Bus shelter map updates installations up to four times a year
- Comply with stormwater pollution prevention protocols and complete agency annual training handbook
- Searchable maintenance log and monthly summary reports that include before-and-after photos, services performed, arrival date/time, departure date/time.
- Maintain a local sales office and marketing presence.
