Government Relations Consulting Services

The vendor required to provide government relations consulting services to secure strategic government relations services that will support the city’s advocacy efforts at the federal and provincial level and provide targeted communications and engagement strategies that amplify the city’s objectives especially with government decision-makers.
- Requirement:
•    Partner with the city to design and implement a comprehensive government relations strategy. 
•    This includes facilitating strategic planning sessions to identify priority policy areas and opportunities for influence for the city. 
•    Develop targeted messaging and a coordinated outreach strategy to engage elected and non-elected officials within both the government. 
•    Outreach may include the office of the premier, relevant provincial ministries and agencies, and members of the state legislative assembly as well as the office of the prime minister, federal ministries and agencies and members of parliament. 
•    The objective is to strengthen the city’s informal political network across both levels of government and advance its strategic priorities. 
•    Track developments within state political and regulatory environments. 
•    Provide timely updates and analysis on legislative changes, policy shifts, and other matters of municipal relevance.
•    Deliver concise briefings and insights on significant political events, including but not limited to provincial budgets, cabinet shuffles, elections, and legislative sessions, with a focus on implications for municipal governance and funding. 
•    Undertake other related duties during the term of engagement.
