- Requirement:
• Conduct an audit of current fundraising structure and efforts and make recommendations. examples would include visitor activity and facility use by patrons.
• Guide the organization in development of a full fundraising campaign strategic plan.
• Identify fundraising volunteer opportunities with affinity and capacity to participate in the campaign.
• This can include for profit and not for profit groups.
• Identify prospective donors, solicitation strategies, and funding opportunities.
• Provide oversight and advice on the development of collateral materials and communication supporting the campaign.
• Provide day-to-day management of the campaign to ensure that it remains on strategy.
- Objectives
• Develop a comprehensive plan outlining fundraising goal, target audiences, channels, and timelines.
• Case for support:
o A compelling narrative that communicates the mission, impact, and need for funding with messaging tailored to different donor segments.
• Prospecting and research:
o Profiling of potential donors (individuals, foundations, corporations).
o Donor segmentation and prioritization.
• Campaign planning:
o Detailed campaign structure (e.g., capital campaign, annual fund, major gifts).
o Timeline, milestones, and resource allocation.
