The Vendor is required to provide for performing a full range of advertising sales services including selling, installing, maintaining and managing agency advertising sales program for transit buses, light rail vehicles, and light rail stations.
- Advertising products:
• Exterior bus advertising, including full bus wraps;
• Full, modified full, and center-section light rail vehicle wraps;
• Interior ceiling advertisements on light rail vehicles (preferably coordinated with exterior advertising); and
• Station advertising, including station wraps and kiosks.
- Prohibited advertisements (language or graphics) include those that:
o Are false, misleading, or deceptive;
o Promote illegal activities, violence, or anti-social behavior;
o Advertise or depict the use of tobacco or smoking products;
o Contain obscene, pornographic, vulgar, or profane content;
o Alcohol advertising is permitted on vehicles and light rail stations, but not within 600 feet of schools or religious institutions.
o Remove, at agency direction, advertising that causes public criticism or is found offensive by transit passengers or members of the public.
- Streetcar adds to the mix of multi-modal transit options in Tempe and serves a busy downtown core made up of residents, businesses, visitors, and students.
- Streetcar vehicles have a capacity of 125 people and operate individually, not linked together like light rail trains.
- Streetcar stops are like bus stops and occur more frequently than light rail stations.
- Streetcars arrive at stops every 15-20 minutes.
- Potential advertising opportunities could include:
o Digital signage at high-volume transit locations;
o Digital advertising on/in agency assets; and
o Experiential marketing.
- Be solely responsible for the printing, installation, maintenance, repair, storage, updates, and quality assurance of all advertising displays on vehicles and light rail stations.
- Complete post-removal inspection using agency provided checklist and document with date/time-stamped photos of the cleaned vehicle, with the vehicle number clearly visible in the full-length view photo.
