The Vendor is required to provide to lead a research-driven initiative to develop the city’s official seal, logo, and comprehensive brand identity system.
- Create an authentic and inclusive brand identity that is informed by stakeholder input, community engagement, and best practices in municipal branding.
- Responsible for conducting research and discovery, facilitating stakeholder and community input, developing a strategic brand framework, designing the official seal and logo, and producing comprehensive brand guidelines.
- Requirement:
1. Research and discovery
• Review existing city communications materials and messaging.
• Analyze comparable municipalities within city.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews with city leadership, staff, and community representatives.
• Conduct surveys, focus groups, or listening sessions to gather community input.
• Identify key themes, strengths, and differentiators that should inform the city’s brand identity.
2. Brand strategy
• Develop a clear brand positioning statement.
• Define messaging pillars and narrative themes.
• Identify core attributes that represent the city’s identity and character.
• Evaluate the city’s existing colors (green, white, and black) and determine whether they should remain, be refined or changed based on research findings.
3. Visual identity development
• Design the city seal.
• Design a primary logo and supporting logo variations.
• Develop supporting visual elements that complement the identity system.
• Present multiple concept directions for review and feedback.
• Refine the selected concept through revisions based on feedback from city leadership and stakeholders.
