The Vendor is required to provide for issuing procurements, managing local, state, and federal grant funds, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, addressing audit findings, preparing financial reports, and providing technical assistance to sub recipients on fiscal issues.
- Provider(s) will work closely with the Board staff, families, and other community entities to engage families in promoting learning and development in the home setting.
- The Workforce System envisions the future of this work as a hybrid of in-person and online services.
- Engage families that are currently receiving Child Care Scholarships, families currently on the waitlist to receive Child Care Scholarships and those that may be unaware of Workforce Solutions programmatic offerings.
- Administer a survey to determine the most significant levels of needed support for families to establish professional development services that address those needs.
- Engage families in community events that offer resources, supportive services and information regarding immediate and long-term needs for families.
- Based on the Needs Assessment, partner with family engagement entities to build and sustain relationships with families.
- Partner with community-based locations as host sites to allow collaborative networks.
- Partner with local family engagement entities to assess and receive feedback and data, regarding the most prominent needs for families to implement relevant events for families.
- Services to families must consist of best practices to engage families in the community, including language and brain development in young children. The program also provides additional family support, such as literacy workshops, parenting skills training, and targeted attention on meeting specialized needs regarding children with disabilities and behavioral challenges.
- Identify, collaborate and connect families to community resources needed to strengthen the families’ ability to support their children and offer a variety of family engagement activities
- Create and disseminate a monthly newsletter highlighting upcoming community events for families and other services and programs that can educate them on the benefits of home learning.
- Partner and collaborate with organizations within the region that offer services to families to include but not limited to the following:
• Mental health support for adults and children
• Nutrition and food insecurity
• Maternal health
• Immunizations, vision and auditory screenings, etc.
- Facilitate learning activities at community-based family settings
- Learning activities should include education regarding the following but are not limited to:
• Child development and developmental milestones
• Activities that promote healthy eating and nutrition
• Redirecting challenging behaviors
• Storytelling, reading and literacy
• Chore challenges and home projects
• Positive reinforcement
• Working with children with special needs
- Develop a list of resources, supportive services and educational resources/activities to disseminate to childcare providers monthly that outline resources that will benefit families.
- Plan networking opportunities with peer support activities, education on the importance of selfcare, and social networking events to alleviate social isolation.
- Enhance the ability and knowledge of parents to understand and support the developmental needs and developmental milestones of children.
- Create and/or seek out opportunities for related to but not limited to the following:
• Financial Literacy and financial planning
• School readiness
• Understanding age-appropriate behaviors
• Building resilience in children
• Setting boundaries
• Effective communication
• Work life balance
• Cyberbullying and bullying
• Adult Education and Literacy (AEL)
- Conduct feedback surveys at the end of each parent event, using survey results data to adjust services as needed.
