The vendor is required to provide develop a climate resiliency costing study services for include:
• Rooftop solar photovoltaic with battery storage back-up power system.
• Ground-mounted solar photovoltaic with battery back-up power system.
• Fossil fuel generator back-up power system.
• Exterior misting station.
• Interior personal mobility charging stations.
• Exterior e-bike charging stations.
- A site investigation to assess the building and determine key factors such as existing electrical capacity will be performed.
- Site mapping exercises will follow, that will outline where resiliency features and its service connections can be located on the property.
- A public information center (“PIC”) to elicit initial community stakeholder feedback on the preliminary design, will be held.
- An extensive costing analysis will be undertaken to identify the potential capital and operational costs of each measure per site map.
- Financial analysis will include equipment, infrastructure, engineering, maintenance, and lifecycle costs, as well as impacts from greenhouse gas emissions and electricity usage.
- A final report that summarizes the findings of the study and provides a recommendation for the site map configuration best suited for the city, will be written.
- A presentation to city council outlining key information and study recommendations will be required upon completion of the report.
