Outdoor Wireless Network Management Services

The vendor is required to provide outdoor wireless network management monitoring and inspection of the physical towers and radio equipment at each location.
- The wireless network requires ongoing maintenance, with the height and location of hardware requiring specialized services needed to complete the work.
- This may include:
•    Performing annual site inspections for all towers, antenna, cabling, and antenna mounting systems,
•    Documenting the results of annual inspections including recommendations for proactive maintenance,
•    Providing scheduled and unscheduled antenna, mount, and wireless radio system repairs.
•    Providing scheduled and unscheduled troubleshooting and remediation of coverage and performance issues,
•    Installing surveillance and streaming video cameras
•    Conducting new antenna system installations, and
•    Performing grounding installation and maintenance.
- Network is used throughout the organization for various services which include, but are not limited to:
•    Emergency services utilize the 4.9 GHZ wireless radio equipment on the traffic lights for preemptive response timing, 
•    The transportation department utilizes the 4.9 GHZ wireless access points for management of the intelligent traffic system.
- Monitoring and maintenance
1. Physical proactive maintenance, replacements, and installations which will include:
•    Tower inspections
•    Equipment inspections
•    Weatherproofing
•    Antenna maintenance
•    Cabling
2. Logical maintenance and daily monitoring (24x7x365) for the outdoor wireless network is also required for:
•    Firmware and patching updates
•    Bandwidth changes
•    Power levelling
•    Topology changes
•    Switch configuration and performance monitoring.
- Wireless base stations inspection and maintenance
•    Tower base – anchor and anchor rods
•    Tower structure and all structural fasteners
•    Ladder and anti-fall system
•    Antennas, mounts and cable
•    Obstruction lighting system
•    Paint and obstruction marking
•    Site and building
•    Verify antenna and transmission line profiles
•    Verify tower alignment using a transit
•    Verify grounding strategy.
