The Vendor is required to provide wireless telecommunication consulting services providers to assist with managing multiple wireless telecommunication agreements across its campuses.
- Must have direct experience in the wireless telecommunication industry and possess proficiency representing property owners in negotiations with wireless telecommunication providers.
- Required outcomes:
• Identification and mitigation of unfavorable economic, operational, and contractual terms within existing and proposed wireless license agreements, amendments, and related instruments.
• Development and execution of negotiation strategies that improve license rent, revenue-sharing arrangements, and buyout outcomes for the university.
• Delivery of financial and valuation analyses to support informed decision-making related to lease and license buyouts, perpetual easements, carrier offers, and rights of first refusal (ROFR).
• Assessment of the impacts of wireless carrier mergers, industry consolidation, and evolving deployment strategies on the university’s negotiating position and long-term revenue potential.
• Analysis of existing wireless telecommunications installations on university-controlled property, including mapping, site evaluation, and assessment of surrounding wireless infrastructure.
• Strategic evaluation of proposed wireless installation locations, including analysis of carrier motivations and availability of viable alternative sites within the surrounding area.
• Evaluation of macro cell and micro cell designs, equipment capacity, and coverage to support revenue optimization and long-term site viability.
• Advisory support addressing the university’s immediate wireless telecommunications needs, including:
o Review and refinement of license agreement templates.
o Evaluation of micro cell deployment disadvantages and compensation structures.
o Analysis of existing service provider proximity to proposed micro cell sites.
o Support for final license agreement negotiations.
• Review and remediation of wireless agreements operating in holdover status, including development of renegotiation strategies and target economic outcomes.
