The Vendor is required to provide radiopharmaceutical products provided will be for utilization within the hospital, clinics, and research and satellite facilities for the department.
- Requirement:
• Availability to dispense and deliver diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals twenty-four (24) hours, seven (7) days a week.
• Capability to dispense and deliver the following:
o Unit dose [syringe or vial]
o Bulk activity
o Custom iodine capsules (i-123 and i – 131)
o Custom iodine liquid (i-131)
o Calibration point sources
o Pharmaceutical kits
o Blood product labeling
o Sheet sources
o Y-90 microsphere therapy custom patient unit dose
o Other diagnostic and therapy custom patient unit and bulk dose
o Supplies and accessories
• Strong communication skills – supplier will utilize the best modes of communication with agency to ensure timely notification of radiopharmaceutical delays, shortages, or process changes that will affect operational practices.
• Utilizes returned dose program – supplier must provide agency a copy of their return merchandize authorization program and educate agency accordingly.
• Program must address applicable unused unit dose activity returned for credit and have the ability to customize based upon agency needs.
• Utilizes regulatory radioactive waste program – provide retrieval and decay of all radioactive waste from activity delivered per dot standards.
• Utilizes quality control (QC) – assure that all QC measures have been completed upon delivery of dose and provide documentation for QC results upon request.
• All required regulatory and quality standards assurance for radiopharmaceuticals and pharmaceuticals are upheld until expiration date and time.
• Utilizes single point of billing – for all radiopharmaceutical and pharmaceuticals prepared for patient administration, invoices will be customizable to meet the need of the entire operation and not solely based on ship-to location.
• Utilizes safety net of backup suppliers - to limit the impact on clinical operations during times of disruption in radiopharmaceutical production by the vendor.
