The vendor is required to provide that arc plumbing services on an "as-needed" and emergency basis for various city facilities.
- The vendor is expected to perform the following tasks:
• Preventative maintenance:
o Provide weekly, as-needed work to assist in the preventative maintenance of city systems (approximately 20 hours per week).
• Emergency services:
o Maintain a robust emergency services program. response time from notification must be under 4 hours, including nights and weekends, 365 days a year.
o The contract includes critical facilities such as police and fire departments, which operate 24/7 and must remain functional at all times.
• General plumbing services: perform tasks including but not limited to:
o Repair of leaking plumbing fixtures.
o Repair and maintenance of non-functioning fixtures, such as automatic flush valves, sinks, faucets, water fountains, jail plumbing fixtures, and sewer line clogs.
o Replacement and repair of cast iron piping.
o Complex repairs on commercial plumbing systems in compliance with local codes and industry standards.
- Pricing:
• The bid pricing must include hourly rates for the following:
o Plumbing labor: master plumber (standard and non-standard working hours)
o Plumbing labor: journeyman (standard and non-standard working hours)
o Plumbing labor: apprentice (standard and non-standard working hours)
o Discount off list price for parts
- Percentage discount off the industry standards list price for plumbing parts and materials.
- Water leak testing:
• The contractor must perform a leak test on all completed repairs.
• Repairs are deemed complete, and invoices accepted, only upon successful leak test results.
