Removal and Recycling of Scrap Metal Services

The vendor is required to provide requirements for transportation and disposal of scrap metal:
1. Alternative requirements no. 1
• The successful proposer would be required to place a 40 cubic yard container at the transfer station for the town to load scrap metal into.
• Once the container is full, the town would contact the successful bidder a schedule the container to be removed.
• The successful bidder would then remove the container at the scheduled time and replace it with another empty 40 cubic yard container.
• The full container would be driven over the town’s scale by the successful proposer, where the container would be weighed by town employees. 
• A weight ticket would be issued to the successful proposer. 
• The successful proposer would then transport the scrap metal to its facility where it would be weighed again by the successful proposer. 
• After weighing the container, the successful proposer would value the scrap metal based in its weight using the most recent value established by the american metals market bulletin (“AMMB”) and pay the town the percentage of such value as bid by the successful proposer.
2. Alternative requirements no. 2
• The town will place a 40 cubic yard container at the transfer station for the town to load scrap metal into. 
• Once the container is full, the town will drive the container over the town’s scale, where the container would be weighed by town employees. a weight ticket would be issued. 
• The town would then transport the scrap metal to its facility where it would be weighed again by the successful proposer and then disposed at the successful proposer’s facility. 
• After weighing the container, the successful proposer would value the scrap metal based in its weight using the most recent value established by the american metals market bulletin (“AMMB”) and pay the town the percentage of such value as bid by the successful proposer.
