The Vendor is required to provide pre-employment background check services to help safeguard and maintain the integrity of our division.
- This requirement applies to any Applicant moving from any state law enforcement or corrections agency to another, as well as Applicant’s moving from a certified peace officer position to a certified corrections officer position, or vice versa, within the same agency.
- Conduct an employment verification check on the Applicant’s two most recent jobs. Contractor will obtain, at a minimum, the following information: dates of employment, job title(s), and responsibilities. Contractor must also provide the following information, if available: reason for leaving, eligibility for rehire, employee rating, and pay rate.
- Check, obtain, and provide Applicant’s public records, to include non-criminal suits filed by individuals or corporations, including product-liability suits, civil-rights violations, judgments for non-payment of goods, and litigation related to divorce and child custody.
- Provide confirmation of an Applicant’s current and previous education history, including school name, school type, city, state, phone number, highest grade completed/degree, graduation date, major, and dates attended.
