The vendor is required to provide temporary labor services to the city in the areas of information technology and computer services on an as-needed basis.
- Provide fully qualified, employees that meet all federal, state, local and professional licensure and certifications and pass appropriate background checks for the position.
- The city reserves the right to review temporary employee’s qualifications prior to placement and observe technical skills, physical and behavioral characteristics.
- All prospective temporary employees must be able to speak, write, and read English proficiently.
- Provide a supervisor, who must be responsible for the overall coordination of work performed in accordance with city requirements, and who must act as the central point of contact with the city.
- The supervisor must be available during normal working hours of the city (8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday).
- The supervisor must be appropriately trained by the contractor and possess the necessary competency to check and ensure that services are being performed in the accordance with the city’s requirements.
- Causes for removal will include, but are not limited to:
• Wearing of inappropriate clothing as defined solely by the city
• Engaging in loud or boisterous behavior unbecoming a city employee
• Unauthorized use or misappropriation of city property
• Failure to meet acceptable standards of hygiene or demeanor
• Leaving the worksite before being properly relived of duties
• Having accessed an unauthorized area of the facility
• Not adhering to all federal, state, and local safety codes, statues or regulations
• Discussing or releasing confidential or private information
• Failure to adhere to defined work schedule or not meeting specific deadlines
- Must conduct a seven (7) year criminal county/city and federal background check, social security trace, nationwide database search, and county/city locator service on each contract employee prior to placement with city.
- Temporary employees that are given assignments that may require to such conditions such as vehicle operation, hazardous or potential hazardous equipment or duties, security will be required to adhere to all federal, state, and local safety laws, codes, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Provide all personal protective equipment at its expense for its employees in accordance with all aforementioned laws, statures, regulations and policies.
- Overtime will be computed on hours over forty (40) hours in a workweek and not as any hours over eight in a regular workday.
- The workweek is defined as Monday through Sunday.
- Daily work hours will be defined by the needs of the requesting Department. Assignments may range from one shift to several months.
- Contract Period/Term: 1 year
