The Vendor is required to provide to furnish temporary personnel on an “on-call” basis for various City departments.
- Job descriptions include business office positions, equipment operators, and skilled and unskilled labor positions.
- Job descriptions and requirements enclosed are representative of the tasks to be performed.
- Yearly usage is estimated as the following:
• Office I (clerical – unskilled) – 80 hours
• Office II (clerical – skilled) – 600 hours
• Laborer (skilled) – 11,200 hours
• Labor (unskilled) – 62,101 hours
• Licensed vocational nurse – 80 hours
• Equipment operator (unskilled) – 600 hours
• Equipment operator (Skilled – Heavy Equipment) – 200 hours
- providing unskilled laborers must pay those laborers a minimum of $10 per hour.
- Hours of work shall normally be eight (8) hours per day Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for office workers, and 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for laborers, excluding official City holidays.
- provide a copy of the temporary=s resume, application, or other documentation stating the skills and experience which qualifies them for assignment.
- No shorts, tank tops, or other inappropriate clothing shall be worn by office personnel.
- Equipment operators, skilled and unskilled laborers shall wear long pants, short or long sleeved shirts, and work boots/shoes.
- The temporary employee or the staffing agency is also responsible for hard hats and safety glasses, if required.
- The City will not furnish uniforms, footwear, hard hats, rain gear, safety glasses or other personal protective gear.
- The City may elect to provide some safety equipment, i.e., safety vests for traffic control, etc.
- The vendor will use the City’s job classifications in order to avoid confusion of placement and payment.
- supply personnel that are capable of performing all required functions in a satisfactory and acceptable manner.
- The City shall be the sole judge of satisfactory performance.
- The City reserves the right to require replacement of any temporary.
- The City will be responsible for payment for services rendered only until the time the vendor is notified of unsatisfactory performance.
- If for any reason the temporary leaves before the assignment is complete, the vendor shall replace the temporary as soon as possible, but not later than twenty-four (24) hours thereafter.
