The Vendor is required to provide for all pharmacy-related services as required by district.
- Services include, but are not limited to:
• Supervising registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses, physician assistants, and other staff involved in dispensing and managing pharmaceutical services.
• Performing periodic on-site visits, in accordance with the state pharmacy act and regulations issued by the state board of pharmacy, to ensure compliance with clinic policies and procedures.
• All visits must be properly documented.
• Developing and maintaining a formulary, in collaboration with the clinics' pharmacy and therapeutics committee, containing essential drugs and devices to meet patient care needs.
• Establishing procedures for the procurement and storage of drugs and devices, and specifying product standards for all pharmaceuticals acquired for county clinics.
• Maintaining pharmacy records to meet legal requirements and ensure proper control and accountability of all drugs and devices.
• Assisting with the development and periodic review of a pharmacy policy and procedure manual, in collaboration with the pharmacy and therapeutics committee.
• Providing compounded TB medications within 24 hours of request.
• Ensuring continuous pharmacist coverage, as described above, including full compensation and oversight of substitute pharmacists along with providing contact information for substitute pharmacist to include cell phone number.
• Verifying that all personnel funded by this contract are properly licensed and qualified to provide required services.
