Temporary Nursing Services

The Vendor is required to provide temporary staffing for the County.
- Positions looking to be filled include RN supervisor, registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, occupational therapist, certificated occupational therapist assistant (COTA), respiratory therapist, speech therapist, physical therapist, habilitation provider, and habilitation care supervisor (HCS).
- Provides a safe and secure home environment filled with exciting and cost-effective programming for residents and their families, as well as quality and engaging respite care. 
- Services include habilitation, nursing, recreation, physical, occupational and speech therapy, nutrition and social services.
- Services may include but are not limited to:
•    Application of the nursing process in implementing the patient care plan.
•    Providing for emotional, programmatic, and spiritual needs of residents.
•    Counseling and providing health teaching to residents.
•    Provide for safety of residents.
•    Perform nursing procedures including but not limited to:
o    Administering medications, orally, rectally, and per G or IV per individualized med assistance programs
o    Carrying out treatments (including aerosol breathing)
o    Chest percussions, postural drainage and suctioning
o    Perform trach care
o    Use apnea monitors
o    Inserting, removing & flushing of G tubes; administering G tube feedings
o    Administering oxygen
o    Changing dressings
o    Inserting and irrigating urinary catheters
o    Providing for nutritional needs
o    Providing comfort measures to residents
•    Receiving and transcribing doctor’s orders.
•    Assisting with physical examinations.
•    Notifying appropriate persons promptly of unusual reactions and changes in condition.
•    Recording all pertinent information.
•    Obtaining specimens.
•    Receiving and giving report.
•    Safeguarding equipment and supplies.
•    Providing post-mortem care.
•    The services are to include all duties ordinarily associated with this type of health care center.
