Temporary Healthcare Staffing Services

The Vendor is required to provide temporary healthcare staffing at various County Health Clinics.
- Positions may include, but not be limited to, fully licensed Nurse Practitioners (NP), Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), Medical Assistants (MA) and Medical Billers and Coders.
- Provide treatment including gynecologic exams, male genital exams, and physical exams, breast exams including Contraception Management, GYN, IUD/implant insertion and removal.
- Temporary Personnel shall provide appropriate differential diagnosis and treatment for reproductive health related diseases, ailments and injuries based on history, physical examination, interview and clinical findings.
- Conduct tests related to Reproductive Health including testing for papanicolaou (pap), syphilis, HIV, chlamydia and gonorrhea.
- Provide interpretation of laboratory and test results, as well as diagnosing pathological, infective and cytological conditions.
- Provide referrals for screening/diagnostic imaging and treatment for breast cancer as well as colposcopy/biopsy, treatment and other related services as needed for abnormal cervical cancer screening.
- Review existing objective and subjective data, develop a client problem list and a plan of care based on client assessment.
- Record clinical services in individual client records and documents using an Electronic Health Records system.
- Provide clients with health education and counseling related to family planning methods and women’s health issues, including information on self-breast exam and cervical cancer screening.
- Temporary Personnel shall provide education, counseling and consultation to clients and public health services district staff, as needed.
- Conduct health education activities in the clinical setting that is age appropriate and client centered, giving priority to lifestyle behaviors most associated with premature and preventable morbidity and mortality including, but not limited to: tobacco use, poor nutrition, lack of exercise, substance abuse prevention, domestic violence prevention, and all others dictated by patient need.
- Provide on-call telephone consultation for emergency contraception and birth control refill services.
- Assist in ensuring that quality of care issues, which may impact the health, safety and well-being of patients, are identified and corrected.
- Temporary Personnel shall also provide services in the area of Reproductive Health with a focus on prevention, wellness, and education.
- Discuss with client a reproductive life plan, and provide options for counseling in a non-biased manner.
- Review and update files, distribute related paperwork and maintain records and filing systems.
- Perform cashier duties in accordance with standard office procedures and County policy such as receiving and recording of payments, prepare and issue receipts, balance daily work and monies received.
- Provide educational material and personalized information to clients during pre-screening procedures.
- Assist and/or direct clients as to how to obtain access to other healthcare and community services programs.
- Review client medical claim denials and rejections for any coding errors, correct and resubmit claims as appropriate.
- Communicate with medical providers, insurance companies, or other payers.
- Communicate with providers, coders, and insurance companies to resolve discrepancies or disagreements.
- Review charges prior to initial claims submission to ensure accuracy and make corrections as needed, whether minor or major.
- Post receipts, invoices, adjustments, and payments for all clinics in the electronic health record system.
- Assist support staff and providers with billing questions.
- Such positions may include, but not be limited to Nurse Practitioner (NP), Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Medical Assistant (MA) and Accounting personnel who may serve as Medical Billers or Coders.
