Correctional Healthcare Staffing and Services

The vendor is required to provide correctional healthcare staffing and services as well as psychiatric services which are equivalent to those available to the public.
- Medical staffing and health care services:
•    Determine base costs for different medical components (i.e., staffing, laboratory costs, outpatient services, ambulatory services, off-site specialty visits, etc.)
•    Assumptions underlie your proposed pricing (i.e., staffing, laboratory costs, outpatient services, ambulatory services, off-site specialty visits, etc.)
•    Account for premium pay (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays, emergencies, hard-to-fill locations, etc.)
•    Use locums or agency staff, how are their rates determined, and account for those rates
•    Overhead components (e.g., recruitment, HR, training, compliance, scheduling systems, etc.)
•    Penalties or incentives are tied to meeting staffing or performance benchmarks
•    Policy for rate adjustments (e.g., annual escalators, cpi-based increases, legislative wage changes, etc.)
•    Handle contract modifications or scope changes that affect cost
- Psychiatric staffing and mental health services:
•    Determine base rates for different mental health roles (i.e., physicians, nurses, etc.)
•    Assumptions underlie your proposed pricing (i.e., physicians, nurses, etc.)
•    Account for premium pay (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays, emergencies, hard-to-fill locations, etc.)
•    Locums or agency staff, how are their rates determined, and account for those rates
•    Overhead components (e.g., recruitment, HR, training, compliance, scheduling systems, etc.)
