The vendor is required to provide temporary personnel service provider(s) to furnish temporary staffing services on an as-needed basis.
- Services shall encompass recruitment, screening, placement, and management of temporary personnel across various job classifications and departments throughout the city.
- Requirements
1. Cashier:
• Diploma or GED and six months general clerical or cashier experience; knowledge of the methods of receiving and accounting for money; ability to make arithmetical computations quickly and accurately; ability to accurately maintain financial records and accounts; ability to effectively meet the public.
• may require operating a switchboard telephone system.
2. Receptionist:
• Diploma and six months general clerical experience; ability to show patience and courtesy when working with people; ability to communicate clearly and accurately; ability to use a switchboard to receive and transfer calls; ability to photocopy and facsimile; ability to type forms, labels, lists or simple and brief documents.
• Ability to type 35 wpm and take messages accurately.
3. Clerk:
• Diploma and six months general clerical experience; knowledge of modern office practices and procedures; ability to operate standard office equipment and to perform clerical work requiring speed and accuracy; ability to type a minimum of 35 wpm.
• Ability to use headers and automatic page numbering paginate, use multi-columns, copy (from document to document); ability to reformat text: justify, repaginate, restructure margins, tabs, line spacing, pitch, etc.
• Ability to do major editing and revising; move or copy blocks of text and columns and delete, insert or replace text and columns.
• Basic knowledge of microsoft word.
• Familiarity with excel.
4. Accounting clerk:
• Diploma or GED; six months experience performing accounting and bookkeeping duties; basic mathematics; use of 10-key by touch; knowledge in invoicing and accounts payable procedures. ability to perform simple journal entries.
5. Secretary:
• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and one-year experience in progressively responsible clerical or secretarial work.
• Ability to type 35 wpm; ability to produce correspondence and reports; ability to proofread and correct errors in documents; ability to communicate clearly and accurately.
• Should be able to perform the duties of receptionist and clerk.
• Ability to execute software packages and special features:
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations, sort or select, merge documents, use system dictionary, create and work with dual column text.
• Ability to use graphics.
• Experience with microsoft word; prefer knowledge of excel, power-point and access.
6. licensed vocational nurse (LVN):
• Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university; one year of increasingly responsible experience as a licensed nurse.
• Provide services in the areas of health assessment, counseling and preventative health care; provide medical care to patients; perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.
• Possession of a valid class c state driver's license.
• Possession of a valid vocational nurse license issued by the board of vocational nurse examiners.
7. Laborer:
• Skill in use of hand tools and equipment such as lawn mowers, weed eaters, etc.
• Ability to follow instructions, safety practices and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to read, write and follow verbal instruction.
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor and work in adverse weather conditions.
