The Vendor is required to provide a minimum of 15 staff daily, to work in the housekeeping department.
- Housekeepers are required to work 40 hours per week, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. This includes working holidays as scheduled and every other weekend.
- Cleans and maintains room/building surfaces, appliances, fixtures and furniture in all designated areas and restocks supplies in public/common areas. (Performed by all incumbents).
• Removes soil linen from bed, remake beds daily.
• Damp wipes beds weekly with hospital approved germicide.
• Transports Bio-medical waste to holding areas.
• Cleans and sanitize restrooms and shower room areas.
• Sweep and mop hallways, bedrooms, dayrooms, restrooms, lounges. Offices, meeting rooms as directed.
• Cleans and vacuums office and other carpeted areas as directed.
• Clean entrances, walk off mats, ledges, glass and remove cobwebs as necessary.
• Performs high dusting using handheld devices while standing on floor.
• Cleans assigned areas according to established procedures. Observes all precautions and risk management procedures for cleaning, waste disposal, and chemical use, etc.
• Completes all cleaning assignments within established time frame and according to department standards.
• Cleans floors and walls using germicidal cleaning solution where appropriate. Scours and polishes fixtures, and mirrors on a regular basis. Restocks soap, paper and other dispensers as needed.
• Thoroughly cleans areas assigned i.e., restrooms, etc.
• Thoroughly cleans floors, walls, windows, and furniture using appropriate equipment and solutions.
• Attends to corners, edges and baseboards.
• Picks up litter and empties trash receptacles on a regular basis.
- Maintains supplies and equipment according to established guidelines. (Performed by all incumbents)
• Completes supply request forms in an accurate, complete, legible and timely manner.
• Loads service cart/vehicles and stocks housekeeping closets as needed.
• Notifies supervisor in a timely manner of equipment and facilities needing repair or replacement.
• Maintains and operates equipment and machinery properly, obeying all operating and safety instructions. Returns all equipment to appropriate location in a timely manner.
• Informs housekeeping management of all detected damaged pillows, mattresses or linens.
• Completes daily written task completion documents and submits to housekeeping leadership.
• Provides housekeeping service at a level that will display a clean attractive environment.
- Staff will be required to clean and maintain room and building surfaces, appliances, fixtures and furniture in all designated areas and restock supplies in public/common areas.
