Staffing Related and Support Services

The vendor required to provide staffing related and support services for include:
- Licensed specialist in school psychology (LSSP)
•    Determine appropriate evaluation measures to use for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. 
•    Gather, research, organize and draft full and individual evaluations (FIES) and review of existing evaluation data (reeds). 
•    Conduct testing for deaf and hard of hearing students aged 3 to 21 (includes, but is not limited to, cognitive and intellectual, academic achievement, adaptive behavior, social-emotional). 
•    Conduct and coordinate psychological and behavioral assessments. 
•    Identify special service needs of students (accommodations, related services, etc.). 
•    Recommend and determine student academic placement. 
•    Respond to various assessment issues and requests for information. 
•    Share reports and recommendations with admissions, revision, dismissal (ARD) committee and department multidisciplinary team. 
•    Attend ARD meetings and shares information with ARD committee. 
•    Documents evaluations completed for school health and related services (SHARS) billing. 
•    Comply with school policies and procedures. 
•    No virtual work and provided services will be authorized, must be on site. 
•    Must be licensed by the state board of psychologists as a licensed specialist in school psychology (LSSP) or educational diagnostician.
- Speech language pathologist (SLP)
•    Conduct communication evaluations complying with special education procedures, including the evaluation of speech, language, augmentative communication and assistive technology needs.
•    Evaluate students, communicate and collaborate with parents, medical personnel, and staff regarding feeding disorders. 
•    Provide direct services to students as indicated by the evaluations, best practices, and ARD committee decision(s). 
•    Develop and implement speech, communication, and language goals and objectives for students’ individualized education plan (IEP) and monitor the implementation of the IEP in varied instructional settings. 
•    Participate as a team member with other professionals across school campus as required. 
•    Maintain pertinent records and files, including but not limited to student progress reports and school health and related services (SHARS) billing for provided services. 
•    Comply with school policy and procedures. 
•    No virtual work and provided services will be authorized, must be on site. 
•    Must have a master’s degree in SLP from accredited college or university 
•    Must hold a certification of clinical competency (CCC-SLP).
- Occupational therapy (OT)
•    Provide direct occupational therapy (OT) services through the use of purposeful activity, exercises, and other treatment procedures involving sensory processing, positioning, and handling per student’s IEP
•    Conduct occupational therapy evaluations using appropriate assessments for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. 
•    Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to report on IEP updates and progress and ARDs with parents and committee members. 
•    Maintain clinical and administrative records in accordance with state guidelines and school policy to record such data as attendance at sessions, test results, evaluations, IEPs, and yearly progress summaries. 
•    Create motor gym and therapy gym schedules and maintain the motor gym and equipment.
•    Create materials, visual schedules and task strips, and thematic units for the occupational therapist and physical therapist. 
•    Comply with school policies and procedures. 
•    No virtual work and provided services will be authorized, must be on site. 
•    Must hold a current occupational therapist license in good standing through the board.
