The vendor is required to provide a commercial of-the-shelf commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) automated biometric identification system (ABIS).
- ABIS will replace the department’s existing automated fingerprint identification system (AFIS) known in the county as multimodal biometric identification system (MBIS) in support of the multi-agency county regional identification system (LACRIS).
- The solution will also provide ten-print and latent workstations, tools for interface configuration, granular workflow management, and cutting-edge image processing.
- Provide and implement a technologically advanced ABIS solution capable of supporting a large number of users simultaneously.
- The solution must be based upon a proven COTS software platform. contractor must provide all necessary configuration and development services during implementation to meet the solution requirements outlined in exhibit b (solution requirements) to the contract.
- The ABIS solution deployment must include contractor-provided criminal justice information services (CJIS)-compliant cloud hosting, which will function as both the county’s primary data center, and a geographically separated secondary data center.
- Provide the direct data communication line between the CJIS-compliant cloud and county’s data centers.
- Purchase and facilitate the installation of all hardware, as applicable, and provide ongoing software and hardware maintenance.
- Provide maintenance and support and preventive maintenance services throughout the entire term of the contract, including any and all exercised extensions.
- All components, including but not limited to, algorithms, virtual and physical hardware, and third-party software, must be evergreen.
