The vendor is required to provide professional services and cloud-based infrastructures that can host and foster the maturation of the university’s enterprise content management system (CMS) and its robust user base.
- To collect information and recommendations on the migration and integration of the University’s enterprise content management system (the UBCMS) to a best-in-class cloud CMS solution.
• Develop a general understanding of vendor capabilities with respect to migrating a mature, heavily-used, large tenant content management system into a cloud-hosted infrastructure;
• Obtain vendor feedback regarding the migration process and steps to concurrently manage the existing on-premises agency environment while “spinning up” an enterprise cloud-hosted environment that will minimize disruption, allow for unfettered business continuity, and ensure a seamless cut-over at the conclusion of implementation;
• Solicit vendors’ perspectives on best practices for migrating to a cloud-hosted enterprise content management infrastructure;
• Understand vendors’ strategy and best practices for migrating heavily-customized adobe experience manager environments while fully preserving custom-developed components, workflows, integrations, and ensuring continuity of user experience;
• Better understand how a new cloud-hosted infrastructure can enable agency heavily-customized content management system to evolve and provide system users with leading-edge features and new functionality without overwhelming users, or necessitating extensive retraining;
• Identify future directions for enterprise content management systems;
• Understand any additional requirements and associated services and support options for the system migration and new hosting infrastructure.
