The Vendor is required to provide design, develop, and implement the statewide rideshare website for statewide online ride matching and rideshare software applications for the state.
- Provide for Statewide Online Ride matching and Rideshare Software applications to: 1) Provide online ridematching services with simple user interface that is easy and intuitive for people to use; 2) Acquire an online software solution that allows administrative functions that are easy to use and allow commuter campaigning and challenges; and 3) Provide a mobile application that is linked to the ride matching and rideshare services of the website.
- Provide ridematching for carpools, school pools, and bicyclists along a set route or within a radius of a location, as well as the capability for users to customize routes.
- Integrate into the website commuting cost savings calculations by county entity, by company/organization and by individual.
- Ability to create, generate and export reports to track program registration, alternative commute mode usage, environmental impacts, and marketing activities on a regional, company/organization and individual basis.
- A user-friendly web interface that allows individuals to conduct online carpool and school pool match searches and to refine their searches by commute route, work hours, smoking preferences, gender, and employer.
- Web application must include security features to protect users’ privacy. In this environment users will be able to contact each other to make ridesharing arrangements.
- GIS integration with ridematching, and periodic map upgrades.
- Ability to customize the system to match the look and feel of the department and/or sponsoring agency, with features to add text, photos, videos, and links.
- Capability to provide employer – specific features including in-house ridematching, tracking and web page customization.
- Capability to administer incentives and commute challenge-type promotions.
- Capability to support event-based and spontaneous “casual” carpooling arrangements.
- Ability to interface with social media such as Twitter, officially known as X since 2023, and Facebook.
- Ability to add on other modes of transportation (i.e., walking, teleworking) and multi-modal modes of transportation should department decide to expand on these modes.
