The vendor is required to provide comprehensive telecommunication system services and installation throughout the county.
- Work may include but is not limited to engineering and design for specific projects and systems, new installation, repairs, and maintenance of new or existing IT and infrastructure systems for the county.
• Provide general construction services at various facilities in pierce county on an as needed basis.
• This work is technology focused, program-wide, network infrastructure type projects.
o Work may include a variety of construction related activities including new construction, modifications, adds/moves/changes, and repairs at various facility locations throughout county, including but not limited to: general and specialized construction activities
o It is anticipated that some projects may require some limited design and preparation of construction documents for turnkey projects based on job walks conducted by the project manager and for purposes of obtaining permits.
• It is intended the provider shall deliver a complete project as requested.
• Provide all necessary expertise and services to professionally and diligently prosecute the work authorized by purchase orders to be issued by the project manager.
• Contractor must be properly registered as a contractor in the state, and also properly licensed to perform electrical and associated work as required by RCW 18.27 and RCW 19.28.
• Security requirement: contractors and their sub-contractors shall adhere to pierce county security requirements when working onsite including security clearances and tool control.
• Interior projects or those in secure courtyards require moderate background checks for staff onsite.
• Higher security areas require a criminal justice information system (CJIS) background checks and a detention area specific background compliance check including prison rape elimination act (PREA) compliance.
• The contractor will be informed per work order if and for which security level a background and badge will be required.
o Prior to any contractor personnel commencing on-site work, contractor will have the appropriate and necessary criminal background checks and security clearances forms completed and submitted to the assigned project manager and their backup.
• The selected contractor shall be capable of responding on-site for “emergency work” within 2- hours for investigations and repair to impairments to life-safety and network outages 24/7.
• Provide staff and a contact phone number on-call emergency service inside or outside of normal working hours.
• The contractor must be available to receive and respond to emergency service requests 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, including holidays.
o Initial emergency repair callouts may be authorized by county project manager with purchase order to follow within 72-hours of callout.
o If the call is received outside of normal working hours, the contractor shall call the site of the reported problem and confirm the nature of the problem prior to dispatching personnel.
o Problems of a non-emergency nature shall be logged for dispatch during normal working hours.

• Design communication systems
o Provide complete permanent system design of cabling and pathways for voice and data communications, including cables, conduits and wireways, pull wires, support structures, enclosures and cabinets and outlets.
▪ Installations will occur in a variety of different conditions including above hard lid, security, and drop ceilings and in drywall, plaster, and concrete and CMU walls.
