The Vendor is required to provide for a software application for the purpose of delivering and implementing a curriculum and catalog management system.
- To develop a curriculum framework and system-wide data repository that will enhance and simplify the development, the approval process, and the implementation of AAS.
- Degree programs and technical certificates to address regional workforce needs.
- To establish common curricula that is aligned, yet provides flexibility to:
• Address unique industry needs of the service area and region,
• Maintain or improve rigor and quality of existing programs,
• Ensure that industry standards, licensure or certification requirements, and accreditation standards are met,
• Support academic freedom for faculty to determine the delivery format, including textbooks, software, specific equipment, etc. used to teach the competencies required to achieve the desired student outcomes,
• Increase opportunities for articulation with agency programs and, when appropriate, with baccalaureate degree programs and provide alternative credit options such as Prior Learning Assessment. (While the AAS. degree is considered a terminal degree and is not specifically designed to transfer to a 4-year degree program. However, when articulation with a university is possible, this should be considered and pursued.), and
• Provide alternative credit options such as Prior Learning Assessment.
- To improve access and success in the attainment of post-secondary credentials that support the "drive to 55" initiative and to address industry skills gaps for the state.
- Curriculum Management program shall include:
• Ability to build customizable workflows that are transparent and viewable through an online dashboard notifying the users of the current stage of the curriculum approval workflow
• Build online proposals that model our organizational needs for curriculum management
• System sends notifications to approvers at the college, Board, and non- Board stakeholders, notifying participants through email of pending and completed curriculum approvals
• System sends notifications for status changes, edits, comments, deadlines, reminders, or other tailored messages to participants.
• All status changes, edits, comments, deadlines, reminders, or other tailored messages shall be time stamped for transparency and reporting purposes
• Single Sign-on authentication or the ability to sign on using the institution’s unique email address and a password of choice
• Store a detailed history log of all curriculum proposals and approvals
• System provides built-in, detailed reporting of all curriculum proposals in real-time, throughout the curriculum management lifecycle
• Ability to capture and log votes for current curriculum discussions/approvals through the software application
• Send system wide notifications of changes to curriculum programs or concentrations
• Ability to allow colleges to align academic offerings with the evolving demands of the workforce
• Ability to allow colleges to create dynamic, relevant web resources that inform the student experience.
