The vendor is required to provide immunization program is to support efforts to prevent and control the transmission of vaccine preventable diseases by applying strategies to close the gaps in immunization coverage.
- The division accomplishes its mission by:

• Addressing issues that affect the health of state;
• Keeping track of the state’s health;
• Promoting positive lifestyles;
• Responding to critical health issues and disasters;
• Promoting the availability of health services.
- A fully functional and robust immunization information system (IIS) is a key component in the identification of the gaps in coverage in order to provide increased service to those target areas identified by the IIS that will allow for increased electronic reporting of immunization records to meet the current and future needs of immunization providers and the citizens of the state.
- Goals
• Agency will contain complete demographic and immunization data for every child, adolescent and adult in state who have received an immunization.
• All medical providers that administer immunizations in state will report all of those immunizations electronically using hl7 messaging to agency.
• Those providers will also query agency and use any returned data to support clinical decisions regarding immunizations for their patients.
• Agency will provide data and reports to meet the planning, and evaluation needs of the division of public health and the reporting requirements for the centers for disease control and prevention (CDC).
• This RFP is looking for a vendor who can host and maintain the agency system.
• Any new programming to the agency system per program and CDC changes.
• CDC standard WSDL web service is required.
