The Vendor is required to provide to perform media monitoring services.
- Through collaborative efforts, central health hopes to not only continue, but enhance its level of media monitoring services and requirements in order to bring more awareness to central health and its mission of closing the health care inequity gap by providing health care to the low-income and/or unhoused populations.
- perform media monitoring services, including but not limited to services related to traditional, digital, and social media.
- The services should be conducted through a platform and should include advanced analytics and reporting capabilities.
- These services will allow Central Health to track, analyze, and understand the company’s performance across media channels and maintain connections to the media.
- The media monitoring platform will serve a variety of needs, including:
• Topic and keyword monitoring across local, state, national, and global media (e.g. newspapers, television, radio, blogs/online journals, social media, and any other media sources not listed that Central Health may request as needed)
• Social media listening
• Email and/or text alerts for user-specified topics across all the above forms of media
• Provide contact database of existing journalists and media personalities, with relevant identifying information and contact/social media information
• Distribution of press releases to a managed contact database like above, including both media outlets and existing contacts
• Data-gathering and analysis of mentions, sentiment, AVE, and other standard baseline metrics
• Customized reports to present collected data and analysis
• Briefings/digests and comprehensive analysis of existing coverage
- Monitoring of local, state, national, and global media sources, including but not limited to newspapers, television, radio, and online news sources such as blogs and digital-only publications.
- This includes media monitoring across multiple languages (with a priority on English and Spanish), with translation tools or summaries provided when applicable.
• Real-time (or near real-time, i.e. within 24 hours of post-publication) monitoring of topics, keywords, and individuals in local, state, national, and global media outlets. The subjects to be monitored shall be defined based on the needs of Central Health during the duration of the contract
• Alerts (email, text, etc.) for specified keywords and topics
• Measurement and analysis of all earned media, including equivalent advertising value
• Ability to search for, then monitor and analyze issues, partner agencies, and events on an ad hoc or ongoing basis
• Ability to monitor specific media outlets and reporters
• Ability to download and archive media clips, including full video/audio of TV or radio mentions, when and where rights allow
• Other media monitoring services as needed.
- Monitoring/listening of all major social media platforms, including any in which central health might not presently participate.
• Central health currently uses the following platforms: Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube
• Mentions, shares, and amplification of central health’s own content
• Ability to monitor and analyze content of affiliates, partners, or topics on an ad hoc or ongoing basis
• Ability to correlate social media activity with traditional earned media activity, and vice versa
• Other monitoring/listening services as needed
- Customizable reporting and dashboards, including but not limited to:
1. Core Metrics
• Total Mentions-Number of times your brand, organization, campaign, or keywords appear across all forms of media.
• Advertising Value Equivalent (AVE)-Estimated value of media coverage based on advertising.
• Sentiment Analysis-Able to categorize coverage at minimum into three categories: positive, neutral, or negative.
• Reach-Estimated number of people who were potentially exposed to the content.
• Impressions–Number of times content was potentially viewed on a user’s screen.
2. Engagement and Influence Metrics
• Top Influencers/Journalists-Identify the most influential people or outlets covering Central Health.
• Share of Voice (SOV)-Central Health’s presence in the media compared to competitors or other relevant entities.
3. Content Quality and Type
• Media Type Breakdown–Coverage by type: print, online, TV, radio, blog, social media, etc.
• Prominence / Placement-How prominent the coverage is: headline vs. buried in the article, length, visuals used.
• Message Pull-Through-Whether key messages or campaign themes were included.
• Spokesperson Mentions-Track mentions of executives, spokespeople, or affiliated experts.
4. Source and Geography
• Top Sources/Outlets-Which media outlets are covering you most and their credibility/tone.
• Geographic Distribution-Where coverage is appearing - global, national, local, regional.
5. Reputation and Risk
• Issue Tracking-Mentions related to sensitive or risky topics (e.g., crisis, misinformation, opposition).
• Reputation score/tone Over Time-Aggregated sentiment over time to track reputation trends.
