The Vendor is required to provide to enable an emergency notification system for the purpose of integrating with agency databases to allow for sending immediate and consistent notifications to our campus community primarily via mobile devices (voice and text) and through RSS feeds.
- In the contemporary environment, mobile devices, networked IT equipment (public electronic displays, desktop computers, room booking displays) and website interfaces (through RSS feeds) are seen as a vital means of conveying critical information to the 35,000 members of faculty, staff, and the student body.
- Mandatory Criteria.
• A platform that can deliver RSS Feeds, SMS Messaging and Voice Messaging.
• Must use the Common Alerting Protocol.
• Must comply with state anti-spam legislation.
• The system must not retain information that would be considered personal under the Act.
- Dashboard interface:
• Simple interface for ease of training and use in emergencies.
• Ability to pre-populate template messages in advance and issue with few operator inputs.
• Integrates with board data to add, edit, and remove points of contact.
• 2 separate web accessible instances (separate dashboards) for each of board main campuses.
- Provide 24/7 technical assistance for emergency support to keeping the system online.
- The system will be supporting emergency notification for multiple geographical locations and requires a user-friendly web-accessible dashboard.
