Mobile Road Weather Information System

The Vendor is required to provide mobile road weather information system (RWIS) sensors and the necessary hardware for mounting the sensors to vehicles.
- Mobile RWIS sensors are weather sensors that are installed on vehicles/equipment to measure and record road weather conditions. 
- These hardware units are fixed to snow removal equipment to measure and record roadway weather conditions to include but not limited to pavement temperature, condition, and precipitation amount.
- Shall furnish Mobile RWIS Sensors and the necessary hardware for mounting the sensors to snow removal equipment to include but not limited to dump trucks, pickup trucks, and SUVs.
- The sensors shall collect and report the below data:
•    Dew Point temperature (Fahrenheit)
•    Air temperature (Fahrenheit)
•    Surface temperature (Fahrenheit)
•    Surface condition (Dry, Moist, Wet, Slushy, Snowy, and Icy)
•    Coefficient of friction
•    Water/ice layer thickness (Fractions of millimeters up to 5 mm)
